Bizzy Apps Pro is committed to full compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. We take our responsibilities as a data controller seriously and have implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data.

Data Controller

Bizzy Apps Pro acts as a Data Controller in respect of the personal data we collect from website visitors and service clients. For our food ordering web app clients, we may also act as a Data Processor in respect of the personal data of their customers which passes through our platform.

Lawful Basis for Processing

We ensure that all personal data processing activities have a documented lawful basis under Article 6 of the UK GDPR:

• Article 6(1)(b) – Contract: Processing customer data to deliver our services
• Article 6(1)(c) – Legal Obligation: Compliance with HMRC, Companies House, and other regulatory requirements
• Article 6(1)(f) – Legitimate Interests: Improving our services, fraud prevention, and business administration
• Article 6(1)(a) – Consent: Marketing communications and non-essential cookies

Data Subject Rights

Under UK GDPR, individuals have the following rights which we are committed to upholding:

• Right of Access (Article 15): You can request a copy of your personal data
• Right to Rectification (Article 16): You can request correction of inaccurate data
• Right to Erasure (Article 17): You can request deletion of your data in certain circumstances

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. These measures include:

• Encrypted data storage
• Access controls and authentication requirements
• Regular security reviews
• Staff training on data protection

Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary. Our retention schedule is:

• Customer account data: 7 years post-contract (HMRC requirement)
• Website enquiry data: 2 years
• Marketing consent records: Until consent is withdrawn + 1 year
• Technical logs: 90 days

International Transfers

We endeavour to keep all personal data within the UK or European Economic Area. Where third-party processors are located outside these areas, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with UK GDPR requirements, such as standard contractual clauses.

Data Breaches

In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to the rights and freedoms of individuals, we will notify the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, and affected individuals without undue delay where required.

Your Right to Complain

You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe we have not handled your personal data in accordance with the law.
